Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in propulsion systems, automatic transmissions, driveline systems, or electric drive units
• At least 5 years of Design & Release engineering (DRE) experience
• Strong knowledge of transmission, driveline, or EDU system functionality
• Experience in an OEM or Tier 1 supplier environment
• Proficiency in GD&T, engineering drawings, and virtual analysis tools
• Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills
• Ability to influence cross-functional technical decisions

Responsibilities

• Own the full product lifecycle for transmission, driveline, or eDrive components
• Define technical requirements, system architecture, and design concepts
• Lead supplier sourcing and technical reviews with global partners
• Develop and release engineering drawings and specifications following GD&T standards
• Support virtual analysis, testing, and validation for performance
• Act as a technical lead within the COE, driving design direction
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and program teams
• Present updates and technical decisions to senior and executive leadership
