General Job Summary: The Senior Design Analyst - checker/modeler/drafter shall have an expert knowledge of drafting methods, procedures, techniques, and GD&T. Checks, creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering. The analyst shall also possess a working knowledge of Siemens NX preferred or PTC CREO 3D CAD software. PLM software: Team Center or Windchill and SAP experience is desirable. Essential Job Functions: 3 Duties are performed under minimal supervision. 3 Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation or quality of product. 3 Checks drawing plots versus the project input for correctness and conformance to standards. 3 Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and ECN/ECR documentation. 3 Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. 3 As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways. 3 Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. May be informal team leader. 3 Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. 3 Other job duties as assigned. A Senior Design Analyst - checker/modeler/drafter must have the skills and experience to perform the following tasks: 3 Check/prepare models and detail drawings of complex parts. 3 Check/prepare models and drawings of complex assemblies and subassemblies. 3 Work closely with engineering to incorporate all requirements into a design. 3 Manage and prepare large assemblies, including parts list/BOM creation. 3 Comply with all related specifications in the preparation of product definition. 3 Comprehensive understanding of GD&T principles and ability to interpret and apply to complex to highly complex designs. 3 Prepare tolerance stack-ups of complex to highly complex designs. 3 Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties. 3 Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements. 3 Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies. 3 Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, and more. 3 Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions. 3 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 3 Ability to maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities as it pertains to your job. Education and Experience: 3 A.S. degree in Drafting and Design Technology or equivalent is required. 3 10 to 12 years of experience Work Environment/Physical Requirements: 3 Office/open cubicle environment. 3 Ability to sit for long periods of time. 3 Ability to perform repetitive motion with wrists/hands (keyboarding, mouse, phones). 3 Ability to view and see drawings.
