SENIOR DEMAND PLANNER (Hybrid) Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and talented Senior Demand Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our sell-in / sell-through forecast and planning and will be the main point of contact for internal and retailer alignment. With a strong analytic and business mindset, they will be a key team member in the development of sales plans and delivering on budgeted sales and margin expectations.
As a member of the Finance & Operations team, you will collaborate with key team leaders, and retailers to develop highly productive assortments, new product development (NPD) forecasting and core business planning, build robust go-to-market strategies, and report directly to the SVP of Finance & Operations.
This role requires advanced Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel), excellent collaboration and communication, and a very high level of attention to detail and organization.
HYBRID: This role is classified as exempt from the Fair Labor Standard Act's overtime requirement and is open to candidates based in Los Angeles, CA. While the position is primarily remote, it follows a hybrid schedule requiring occasional in-person work at Culver City, CA 90230. The role requires working in PST hours, so candidates located on the West Coast are preferred. A reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace free from significant distractions are essential for remote work.
What You'll Do:Essential Job Functions
- Own the end-to-end demand planning process across all channels (DTC, B2B)
- Develop and maintain accurate forecasts across short term and mid-range planning
- Build, run, and share a sell through reporting to the team and leadership on a weekly, monthly, and ad hoc basis
- Develop SKU and channel plans by retailer and report against actuals and last year, identifying trends and opportunities
- Main liaison with IT to maintain and ensure the accuracy of the BI tool to allow sales visibility to the entire organization
- Build and maintain bottom-up sell-in / sell-through forecast in collaboration with the SVP of Finance and Operations and key leadership
- Partner with the SVP of Finance and Operations and key leadership to ensure budgeted sales and margin expectations are met. Proactively recommend actions and pivot strategy as needed
- Main point of contact with supply chain and throughout the S&OP process to gain forecasting alignment and identify opportunities and risks
- Facilitate demand review meetings, ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing and Finance
- Support inventory health by improving forecasts accuracy and reducing excess and obsolete inventory
- Engage with retailers to drive order flow, stock levels, and reorders and negotiate open-to-buy as needed with buyer/planner
- Proactively communicate SKU changes and out of stocks to retailers to maintain optimal PO fulfillment and inventory levels
- Active member at retailer meetings and market week discussions to drive maximum sales
- Provide data-driven recommendations on buy strategies, inventory management, and effectiveness of our commercial/marketing initiatives
- Lead and maintain productive assortments for each account, own product life cycle, manage new product forecasts, and maintain master SKU list
- Oversee, forecast, and manage all reductions to sales, including promotions, RTVs, and T&Ds
Non-Essential Job Functions

- Perform additional administrative tasks or clerical duties as assigned.

- Beauty planning experience is preferred, especially with Sephora
- Ability to function in a team-based environment as well as independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Excel (manipulating files and working with formulas), as well as experience with NetSuite
