Full Job Description
ASSYST is seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with 15+ years of database administration experience to support database design, administration, performance tuning, optimization, and operational activities across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DB2 for z/OS, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server, along with extensive experience in z/OS environments, database architecture, monitoring, recovery, and infrastructure support.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform daily database administration and operational support for DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, and GIS environments.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimize database structures and schemas.
  • Monitor and tune database performance and troubleshoot database-related issues.
  • Support DB2 for z/OS upgrades, catalog maintenance, application integration, and point-in-time recovery.
  • Develop and maintain database administration procedures and technical documentation.
  • Perform SQL code reviews and support database optimization.
  • Support infrastructure implementation, change management, verification testing, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Utilize database and z/OS monitoring tools to identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on data architecture and application integration.
  • Provide training and mentoring to other technical staff.
