Requisition Summary

The Senior Data Analyst has a key role in handling multiple sales operations and customer focused matters relating to Peterbilt's National Account, Regional and Vocational Sales teams, as well as those of Sales Operations. The successful candidate must be detail oriented, organized, have excellent communication skills and be a team player with an analytical approach to solution-based thinking. Daily activities involved in this role include sales reporting for the Peterbilt General Sales Managers, Region Sales Managers, and District Sales Managers including, but not limited to, Tableau dashboard management and general communication with the team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Extract, clean, merge, transform and compile data from various data sources, including relational databases, flat files, NoSQL databases and unstructured data
  • Create and implement data visualization models and dashboards supporting data projects using MS SQL, Snowflake, Tableau and Power BI or other comparable tools
  • Develop automated processing using various tools including, but not limited to SmartSheet, UIPath, Microsoft Power Automate and other supported automation technologies
  • Provide accurate, relevant and meaningful ad-hoc analysis to management upon request to support strategic and tactical decision-making
  • Deliver well-researched and experience-based technical solution recommendations, ensuring they are viable and aligned with best practices to support effective implementation.
  • Implement various sales and sales operations initiatives by providing data architectural design and development support.
  • Up to 5% travel is expected for this position


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required (quantitative field preferred)
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is strongly desired.
  • 7 years of related experience in a data or systems analyst role
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access required
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or Snowflake required
  • Experience with data visualization required (Tableau and/or PowerBI)


Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundations Certification preferred
  • Proficient with Peterbilt CARS and OPS system preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies a plus
  • Six Sigma experience a plus
  • Must be a highly-motivated self-starter and self-directed learner with a creative mind, high attention to detail, and a solution-oriented outlook
  • Ability to succeed in a multi-functional business environment and influence adoption of new ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, including active listening, problem solving when under pressure, and facilitation
  • Capacity to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Highly self-motivated and flexible with focus on delivery


Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
  • Demonstrated problem solving, facilitation, and customer service skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with little or no supervision
  • Strong understanding of business process, preferably in supply chain operations
  • Effective presentation skills suitable for senior management
  • Working knowledge of application technology stack and requirements for integration into the business environment
  • On-call availability for business support
  • Experience in Manufacturing industry
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with little or no supervision
  • Proficient with Microsoft productivity tools, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Azure DevOps
