  • Use Python for statistical analysis, data manipulation, and automation tasks.
  • Create interactive visualizations and reports using Power BI, including proficiency in DAX.
  • Build and maintain financial models, recurring workbooks, and executive-facing deliverables in Excel.
  • Manage data sources, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and data models.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong SQL coding skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation.

  • Experience designing and scheduling data pipelines in a dedicated orchestration/ETL tool; Azure Data Factory preferred, with equivalent experience in SSIS or a comparable tool considered.
  • Experience building automated, spec-compliant outbound data feeds for external partners, including secure file transfer (SFTP) and secure handling of credentials/secrets (e.g., Azure Key Vault).
  • Working knowledge of patient data de-identification / tokenization techniques and secure handling of PHI in a HIPAA-regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI for dashboards and reporting, including DAX.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, complex formulas, and maintainable recurring deliverables.
  • Experience with cloud-based relational databases and data warehouses; Azure SQL / Azure Synapse strongly preferred (equivalent experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift also considered).
  • Solid understanding of data management principles and data quality best practices.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to accelerate SQL, Python, and analytical work, with sound judgment to validate outputs before they reach stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data lake / lakehouse architecture (e.g., Azure Data Lake) - supports planned expansion of our analytics platform.
