Full Job Description
The Senior Data Analyst will lead the analysis of large, complex data sets from multiple program sources and transform the results into clear, actionable findings. The role includes monitoring data quality, identifying and resolving errors, developing recurring and ad hoc reports, supporting system improvements, refining business processes, and presenting complex information through effective tables, visualizations, and statistical products. Working closely with the Program Manager, policy analysts, Government stakeholders, technical teams, and HeiTech corporate managers, the Senior Data Analyst will also oversee assigned personnel and help ensure analytical products are accurate, reproducible, timely, and suitable for executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, refine, and produce recurring and ad hoc analytical reports using large data sets, approved data-analysis software, and appropriate statistical methods.
  • Integrate information from multiple sources to evaluate program performance, quality, timeliness, outcomes, workload, compliance, and emerging trends.
  • Monitor data quality across program systems, identify anomalies and errors, assess their impact, coordinate remediation, and recommend preventive controls.
  • Maintain clear tracking of identified data issues, completed corrections, responsible parties, aging, and unresolved actions.
  • Identify the data frameworks, structures, relationships, definitions, and governance controls needed to support program requirements.
  • Support the integration of system-level data requirements and architectures into secure, compliant, and sustainable enterprise-level approaches.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into data specifications, validation rules, reporting logic, and system-improvement recommendations.
  • Support system change requests, user-acceptance testing, data validation, requirements traceability, and verification of implemented changes.
  • Develop and refine business-process maps, data flows, user guidance, reporting procedures, and other documentation supporting consistent system use.
  • Conduct survey, cohort, case, quality, performance, and program analyses using methods appropriate to the size and complexity of the available data.
  • Present analytical findings through concise narratives, tables, dashboards, graphs, scatter plots, distribution plots, and other statistical or mathematical visualizations.
  • Explain analytical methods, assumptions, limitations, findings, and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Supervise or oversee assigned personnel and maintain the quality, timeliness, consistency, and reproducibility of analytical activities and products.
  • Coordinate analytical work with Government program leads, policy analysts, system owners, subject matter experts, and other technical and program stakeholders.
  • Work with the Program Manager and HeiTech corporate managers to address staffing, performance, quality, training, technology, risk, and employee-support needs.
  • Protect sensitive federal information and comply with applicable requirements governing records management, privacy, confidentiality, cybersecurity, and Controlled Unclassified Information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, information systems, information technology, statistics, mathematics, business analytics, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant data analytics certification, such as Certified Analytics Professional, Google Data Analytics Professional, Microsoft, Tableau, AWS, or a comparable industry-recognized certification.
  • At least six years of experience in systems analytics, business analytics, data analytics, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least five years of experience supervising or overseeing personnel.
  • At least three years of experience identifying and developing data frameworks needed to support program or operational requirements.
  • Experience integrating system-level data requirements and architectures into enterprise-level approaches that meet federal or Department of Defense requirements.
  • Experience working with large data sets from multiple sources and applying statistical methods to identify trends, anomalies, relationships, quality concerns, and performance risks.
  • Experience developing recurring and ad hoc analytical reports, dashboards, tables, graphs, and complex statistical or mathematical visualizations.
  • Experience with data-quality monitoring, validation, error tracking, root-cause analysis, remediation, and preventive controls.
  • Experience supporting system requirements, change requests, user-acceptance testing, business-process mapping, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-coordination skills.
  • Ability to explain complex analytical findings and technical information clearly to executive, program, policy, and nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to supervise personnel, manage competing priorities, meet short deadlines, and maintain consistent quality across multiple analytical products.
  • Availability during standard Eastern Time business hours, Monday through Friday.
  • Ability to successfully complete and maintain, at a minimum, the required Tier 1 federal background investigation and satisfy applicable personnel-security and suitability requirements.
  • Ability to complete required onboarding, training, confidentiality, system-access, telework, and Controlled Unclassified Information protection requirements.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation: $95,000-$115,000
