The ideal candidate will have experience with problem solving, critical thinking ability and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 

As a Senior Manager of Program Management in Capital One’s Cyber organization, we’re looking for someone that can help us deliver Cyber capabilities that will help Capital One customers to have incredible, secure experiences. Examples of potential capabilities include AI, Data Protection, Cyber Operations and Security Information and Event Management, Cloud Security, and Cyber Governance and Risk. There is an opportunity to be a people leader for a team of program managers.

• Strong technical backgrounds (ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services) with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life-cycle

• Exceptional cross-team collaboration; able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to get the job done.

• Highly tuned emotional intelligence, good listener, and deep seated empathy for teams and partners

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 6 years of experience in program management

• At least 3 years of people management experience
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in a related technical (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or Program Management field

• 5+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing

• 3+ years of experience delivering Cybersecurity solutions and capabilities

• 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture using AWS

• 3+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products and platforms

• 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery

• 7+ years experience delivering large and complex programs owning the business or technical vision, collaborating with large cross-functional teams, securing commitments on deliverables, and unblocking teams to land business impact

• 2+ years of experience implementing Cyber Operations technologies

• 1+ year of experience building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment

• 1+ year of experience working with AI technologies

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
