Description:

The Senior Accountant will focus on all aspects of Inventory Accounting and possess a strong understanding of manufacturing, inventory reconciliations, and variance analysis. This position will play an integral role in manufacturing variances, E&O inventory, LCM calculations, flux analysis, journal entries, and SOX controls. The role will interact with management and internal/external auditors and will play a key role in month-end close activities, close procedures and audit requests. The position will also be involved in recurring and ad hoc analysis and requests. This role requires close collaboration with Operations, Quality, Logistics, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy and support effective inventory management.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, completing reconciliations, ensuring SOX controls are met, and conducting financial analysis for the P&L and balance sheet
  • Review inventory status regularly and recommend appropriate reserves in accordance with company policy, including for slow-moving, obsolete, excess inventory, lower of cost or market (LCM) adjustments, and inventory variances such as material, labor, and purchase price variances (PPV)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research and resolve inventory-related issues and requests, ensuring inventory records remain accurate, timely, and reliable
  • Establish additional controls across supply chain and finance functions, while identifying opportunities to improve existing controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to monitor process effectiveness
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and participate in training activities with related business areas to strengthen operational knowledge, promote collaboration, and enhance overall inventory management practices


Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Accounting/Finance - Required
  • Master Degree (MS/MA) Accounting/Finance - Preferred

Experience:
  • 5 years or more in Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

Specialized Knowledge:
  • Accounting knowledge in a manufacturing environment
  • ERP/MRP/General Ledger


The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $115,000 per year. In addition, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, with this position within the first 12 months. Amneal ranges reflect the Company's good faith estimate of what Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, geographic location and other relevant skills.
