Summary:The Sr. Corp Milling Engineer provides technical support to employees regarding all aspects (Process and Mechanical) of the milling processes. This position participates and assists in organizing process performance trials and new technology trials. The position takes an active role in the Task Force programs and works with outside consultants and plant personnel.
What you'll be contributing: - Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Analyzes plant production processes and recommends changes needed to optimize operating conditions.
- Arranges on-site audits and use operating data to evaluate process efficiency.
- Keeps proper individuals apprised of deficiencies and makes recommendations in order that appropriate action can be taken.
- Evaluates mill systems for performance upgrades and capital projects needed in order to fulfill the business needs.
- Assists in project scope development, project execution, and commissioning.
- Provides technical support on process and mechanical performance of mill systems.
- Provides assistance and direction during annual shutdowns.
- Participates in plant mill outages and mill equipment repairs.
- Provides Process and Mechanical training on milling systems.
- Reviews and updates existing training materials.
- Attends training to maintain knowledge of the latest grinding and milling technologies.
- Participates in the preparation, review, and publication of the Annual Process and Performance Report and other technical reports.
- Organizes and coordinates activities related to the Task Force programs. Support all energy conservation and reduction programs
- Works closely and interacts with other members of the process department so that items are prioritized correctly, and work is performed efficiently.
- Collaborates and coordinates activities with outside consultants.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
To succeed in this position, you will need:- Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Minimum 4 Year - Bachelors Degree in engineering, chemistry, or closely related area of concentration.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in plant operating or milling or related position
- Ability to perform, organize and prioritize work independently
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to make sound independent judgments regularly
- Ability to work in conjunction with and collaborate with others
- Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
- Knowledge of basic concepts of mass balance and heat balance.
- Knowledge of comminution, control system, and computer operations.
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, as well as safety policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge or understanding of cement production processes or related industrial processes.
- Ability to maintain confidential information with discretion
- Up to 25% domestic travel
Compensation:- Compensation: $125,100.00 - $152,900.00 USD
- Eligible for yearly bonus
