We are seeking a Senior Copywriter who can translate complex scientific and clinical information into compelling, strategically driven brand communications that engage healthcare professionals, patients, and other key audiences across channels.
Position Summary
As a Senior Copywriter, you will play a critical role in shaping brand voice, campaign messaging, and omnichannel content for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. You will partner closely with art directors, strategists, account teams, medical reviewers, and clients to develop creative concepts and content that are both emotionally resonant and scientifically accurate. This role requires a strong balance of creativity, strategic thinking, attention to detail, and comfort working within regulated environments.
The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare or pharmaceutical writer who thrives in a collaborative agency setting, enjoys solving complex communication challenges, and can confidently contribute to both conceptual campaign development and executional copywriting. You should be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, presenting ideas to internal and client teams, and mentoring junior writers as you continue to grow your leadership skills.
In this role, you will contribute to a wide range of deliverables, including brand positioning and messaging, digital campaigns, websites, emails, social content, sales materials, video scripts, and integrated omnichannel initiatives. You will also help ensure all communications align with brand strategy, client objectives, regulatory considerations, and Wedgewood Health's core values of Wonder, Truth, and Unity.
Work Environment & Location
This role is hybrid, with a preference for candidates who can work from our Holmdel, NJ office two days per week. We will prioritize hybrid candidates; however, we are open to remote consideration for the right candidate with the appropriate healthcare advertising agency experience and a strong track record of collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Copywriting Fundamentals
- Write engaging, persuasive copy for digital, social, email, and print channels
- Edit and refine copy to ensure clarity, tone, and accuracy across audiences
- Partner with art directors to develop conceptual and strategic ideas
- Present confidently to internal and client teams
Brand & Market Knowledge
- Take ownership of larger projects, ensuring deadlines and brand standards are met
- Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and market insights

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, science, or related field
- 2+ years of professional copywriting experience
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Strong skills with reference formatting (AMA or client-specific)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Experience across digital and print channels
- Familiarity with SEO and digital content best practices
- Knowledge of regulated industries or scientific content preferred
