Overview:

Carmichael Lynch is seeking a social-first senior copywriter who has honed in their technical writing craft and creative concepting skills with proven results for clients. Our next senior writer will work on our second largest creative client account (telecommunications - Social AOR client), focusing on all things social: campaigns, TV extensions, OLV, beautifully crafted static, activations, influencers, and more. We are focused on hiring a candidate who has their ear to culture, entertainment/celebrity, sports, and the latest TV/movies. It's crucial that this candidate can execute a high level of craft while knowing when to strike with a chronically-online, brainrot meme. We are bridging the gap between highly produced traditional advertising with the fast-moving world of social media.

Key Responsibilities:

Concept Development: Lead ideation in collaboration with creative, social strategy, brand planning, and production to create a high volume of on-brand and relevant content across platforms (Instagram, X, TikTok, Snap, Reddit, Facebook). This candidate must have proven experience with concepting and executing big ideas across social-first platforms in addition to traditional advertising.

Campaign and Content Execution: Develop and execute breakthrough social-first creative campaigns that seamlessly tie entertainment, culture, and social media trends. Write and produce high-quality static and motion content both on teams and independently.

Executional Excellence: Ensure the highest level of craft in the execution of all creative assets, from voice/tone, to visual composition, to final production, paying attention to detail, quality, consistency, and always pushing the brief.

Innovation & Trends: Stay up-to-date with social/entertainment trends, industry trends, and AI technology while translating these insights into breakout brand moments.

Brand Stewardship: Maintain and evolve the brand's written and visual identity, ensuring that all creative work is aligned with the entertainment brand's brand guidelines, social playbook, and voice while pushing creative boundaries.

Team Leadership: Mentor junior/mid-weight creatives, providing feedback, direction, and support to cultivate an environment of growth and creativity.

Client Engagement: Present work directly to clients and maintain professional client communication to understand their needs and translate feedback effectively.

This role requires annual travel as-needed with internal teams and clients for production.

Qualifications:

6-8 years agency or related experience, with a portfolio that showcases social-first creative campaigns

Production experience required

Deep knowledge of entertainment, pop culture, and social media trends

Proven experience producing entertainment, celebrity, and sports-related creative

Strong understanding of social video/static best practices

Exceptional composition and visual/written storytelling abilities

Experience working with entertainment, telecommunications, streaming, and/or product-focused clients preferred

Self-starter mentality with proven ability to source assets and solve creative challenges independently

Understanding of individual social platform specifications and best practices

Ability to manage creative projects from concept to completion while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Excellent communication and presentation skills-both verbal and visual

The salary range for this position is listed below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to budget, relevant experience, qualifications, and tenure in similar roles. Consideration may also be given to internal salary data for current or former employees in the same or similar positions.

Salary Range: $90,000 - 110,000 annually

Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
