Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Contracts Specialist that thrives in a fast-paced environment to support the Search, Track, Acquire, Radiate, Eliminate (STARE) Project Office. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks based upon customer guidance, attention to detail, and analytical skills. It involves comprehensive cradle to grave contracting actions, interpreting and applying laws, regulations, policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
Responsibilities
• Serve as a contracts advisor to government customers, communicating contract policy and practice
• Assist with contract strategy development
• Coordinate closely with critical stakeholders, driving alignment and collaboration with the Project Office, Contracting Officer's Representative, Administrative Contracting Officer, and the Army Contracting Command
• Analyze contract issues and coordinate recommended solutions
• Manage the full life cycle of complex contract modifications, ensuring seamless execution from initial requirement through final execution
• Assist development and coordination of Contracts Requirements Packages (CRP)
• Organize and coordinate with technical and configuration management personnel to prepare Statements of Work (SOW) for new and existing contracts
• Prepare Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) memorandums and submit to Army Contracting Command (ACC) via the Paperless Contract File (PCF)
• Maintain a detail-oriented approach, ensuring that no contractual requirement slips through
• Ensure contract reviews, approvals, and execution occur in accordance with US Government regulations and contracting guidelines.
Required
• BA or BS degree
• 10 years of related experience
• Major capability acquisition / weapon systems program experience
• Government contracting experience
• Ability to work with Integrated Product Teams
• Must have an in-scope security clearance
Desired:
• Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracting experience
