Are you a strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of business, risk management, and relationship building? Join our team as a Senior Contracts Manager and play a critical role in protecting and advancing the business while partnering with leaders across the organization.

In this high-impact role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, project managers, finance, procurement, and legal stakeholders, guiding complex agreements from initial negotiations through final closeout. You'll have the opportunity to shape contract strategy, influence business decisions, mitigate risk, and create best practices that support continued growth and operational excellence.

 

At our Long Beach Headquarters, you'll work alongside a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of major projects and strategic initiatives. This is an opportunity for a seasoned contracts professional who enjoys balancing business objectives with thoughtful risk management and who takes pride in building strong partnerships throughout an organization. This position will require you to be in the office 3 to 5 days/week. 

 

How you can make an impact

Strategic Partnership

Provide contract management advice to assigned business unit leaders, including operations, project management, and engineering teams. Provide practical, risk-based guidance aligned with business goals, profitability, and successful project execution.

 

Contracting & Commercial Transactions

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including EPC, design build, construction, subcontractor, supplier, and professional services agreements. Evaluate and negotiate key contractual risk provisions, including indemnification, limitation of liability, insurance, and environmental risk allocation.

 

Project Construction Management Support

Provide legal support across all project phases:

Pre-bid (RFP review, risk identification)

Execution (change management, claims support)

Closeout (final settlements, warranties)

 

Corporate Governance & Compliance Programs

Ensure adherence to Company policies and deliver contract training programs for project teams.

 

Claims & Disputes

Lead and support development of claims, change orders, and dispute resolution strategies, including Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REAs) and negotiation of settlements. 

 

Commercial & Financial Accountability

Support project teams in protecting margin and minimizing financial exposure.  Quantify contract risk and advise on contingency allocation. 

 

Insurance Management

Assist with claims management, insurance applications & renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred).
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of contract management experience in engineering, construction, construction management, and/or environmental services required.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership and cross-functional business teams.
  • Experience supporting large, complex projects

Pay RangeUSD $133,000.00 - USD $209,000.00 /Yr. Additional InformationPlease note that our pay ranges are determined by several factors, including relevant experience, internal pay equity, and location.
