Senior Contracts Administrator

Position Summary

The Senior Contracts Administrator performs full contract lifecycle duties from proposal development through closeout in support of federal programs. This role ensures compliance with federal regulations, leads and supports negotiations, prepares and reviews contractual documentation, and works closely with internal stakeholders to mitigate risk and maintain compliant contract execution.

  • Review, negotiate, award, and manage prime contract documents including NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Prime Contracts, Subcontract Agreements, Task Orders, and Modifications.
  • Support proposal activities by analyzing solicitations, identifying risks, and preparing contractual proposal documents.
  • Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and agency specific requirements to ensure compliant contract execution.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for government contracting officers and internal stakeholders including Directors, Program Manager, etc.
  • Monitor compliance with contract terms, applicable laws, regulations, and internal corporate policies and provide input for corrective action.
  • Assist with federal reporting requirements such as FFATA, CPARS, ESRS, manpower reporting, and other agency-mandated submissions.
  • Support development of contract policies, procedures, and process improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate, audit ready contract files and contract tracking tools.
  • Perform contract closeout activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and provide support to Subcontract Administration and Procurement functions.


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Legal Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum seven (7) or more years of federal contracting and subcontracting experience.


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master's degree a plus.
  • Ten (10) or more years of federal contracting and subcontracting experience.
  • NCMA certification (CFCM, CCCM, CPCM) or similar experience.
  • Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) experience.


Competencies

  • Strong contract negotiation skills and effective problem solving abilities
  • Solid understanding of the FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement regulations
  • Knowledge of CPFF, FFP, and T&M contract types
  • Proven ability to independently handle complex contractual agreements
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Skilled at organizing, prioritizing, and completing multiple tasks within deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Able to navigate competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Applies sound judgment and creativity to resolve contract related issues
  • Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

The typical workday is eight hours in length. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, with concurrence from the supervisor. Attendance at mandatory meetings is required. Must be available during the core work hours as determined by the contract/location and must account for the required number of hours in a pay period to maintain Full-time status.

Telework:

  • Telework may be allowed up to 90% and available for in-person meetings, training and other activities. Subject to change based on business needs.


Travel:

  • Ability to travel CONUS; potential to travel OCONUS.
  • Travel up to 10% for local, in-person meetings and company-related activities.
