Senior Content Strategist

The Senior Content Strategist develops and executes an integrated content and messaging strategy that supports brand and product positioning, with a strong emphasis on woodworking knowledge and real-world application. This role defines value propositions and messaging frameworks, then translates them into clear, persuasive, and conversion-focused content across channels as both a strategist and hands-on creator.

Grounded in an understanding of woodworking techniques, tools, and workflows, this role ensures content is not only compelling but credible and useful to makers-from DIYers to advanced woodworkers. Working cross-functionally, they ensure alignment from concept through execution while leading ideation and producing high-quality deliverables. They continuously optimize content through research, and performance insights to improve strategy and content effectiveness and drive measurable brand and marketing impact.

  • Develop product positioning, value propositions, and messaging frameworks that guide content and campaign efforts
  • Create high-quality, original written content for various platforms, including websites, articles, social media, email newsletters, video scripts, infographics, packaging, print and presentations.
  • Conduct thorough research and gather insights to inform content creation and ensure accuracy and credibility.
  • Write clear, persuasive, and conversion-focused copy aligned with brand voice and product messaging that engages and resonates with Kreg's target audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, creative, customer experience, sales and product, to gather information and understand key messages and objectives for content development.
  • Lead content ideation and brainstorming sessions, exploring innovative and creative ideas to differentiate our content and drive audience engagement.
