Full Job Description
About the role

Stream's US marketing function is in build mode, and this is one of the first dedicated content hires on the team. We're looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to own our content strategy and shape how Stream shows up in the market. This is a role for a strong writer with real ideas: someone who can develop original concepts, angles, and formats that make Stream stand out in a crowded category, and then bring them to life across the funnel.

You'll report directly to the VP of Marketing (US) and operate with a high degree of autonomy. We want someone who sets the strategy and runs with it, sweats the craft, and treats content as a way to build Stream's voice and authority, not just fill a calendar.

What you'll do

Content strategy and original ideas
  • Own Stream's US content strategy end to end, from the big-picture narrative down to the individual asset
  • Develop original concepts, angles, and formats that differentiate Stream and earn attention in a category full of sameness
  • Build content across the funnel, from guides and case studies to editorial and sales enablement, that moves audiences from awareness to demo
  • Treat SEO as a core discipline within that strategy, shaping content that ranks and reaches the right people

Partnership with Impact
  • Partner with Stream's Impact team, our in-house research function, as a creative collaborator rather than a downstream channel
  • The Impact team runs a proprietary research programme on the financial lives of frontline and hourly workers; you'll shape how that research becomes standout content, and bring your own ideas and storytelling to the work

PR and earned coverage
  • Work with Stream's PR agency to identify content, data, and stories that fuel new pitches and drive earned coverage

Editorial standards
  • Edit and elevate copy across the marketing department, acting as a quality bar for everything Stream publishes

What you'll bring
  • 7+ years of content marketing experience
  • A journalism background strongly preferred; writers who trained in journalism and moved into content marketing are an excellent fit
  • A portfolio that shows original thinking and strong writing, not just volume
  • A proven track record of working autonomously and owning content strategy with minimal oversight
  • Strong SEO fundamentals and experience writing for search
  • Experience producing guides, case studies, and sales enablement content
  • A sharp editorial eye and the ability to raise the quality of others' writing
  • Confidence working with external PR partners to shape stories and pitches

What success looks like

3 months: You've ramped up on Stream's positioning, audience, and existing content, and built strong working relationships with the Impact team and the PR agency. You've audited the current content footprint, identified where Stream's voice can be sharper and more distinctive, and shaped a content strategy with a clear point of view. Publishing is underway.

6 months: A consistent, high-quality content stream is running across the funnel, carrying original ideas and formats that are recognisably Stream. You're operating with full autonomy, the PR agency relationship is producing pitches and coverage off the back of your content, and copy quality across the department has visibly lifted with you as the editorial bar.

12 months: You've built a strategic content programme that's demonstrably tied to web traffic growth, earned coverage, and demo pipeline, and that gives Stream a distinctive voice in the market. Content is a genuine driver of category authority, and you're the recognised owner of Stream's US content strategy.

Salary:From $120,000-$150,000 base + Bonus, Equity & Benefits

Location:We operate a hybrid working policy; 3 days a week from our New York office.

What will we do for you?
  • 15 Days vacation in addition to federal holidays, as well as flexible time off allowances for any ad-hoc childcare/family/caring needs
  • 12 weeks paid Maternity Leave and 2 weeks paid Paternity Leave for employees with over 12 months service
  • Health, dental and vision benefits (a number of these benefits are paid in full for the employee)
  • We want to invest in you financially, so we have a 401K program

And of course, the best benefit of all, access to Stream!
