The Senior Consultative Pharmacist consults with patients, pharmacies and providers to provide patient care in the form of optimal medication therapy. The Senior Consultative Pharmacist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Senior Consultative Pharmacist educates members about the proper use and purpose of their medications. They respond to members’ questions via telephone and web chat regarding their prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, and general health as it relates to pharmacotherapy. They encourage safe, accurate and timely usage of medications while resolving medication-related issues, such as prior authorization requirements, formulary alternatives, and medication access concerns. The Senior Consultative Pharmacist accurately records member interactions and recommendations to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Must have an active license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state.
- Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs
- Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving
- Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive
- Proficient with computers
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
PharmD
- 3 plus years' experience in a high volume community pharmacy practice environment
- Bilingual Spanish

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$115,200 - $158,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
