Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Consultant, Tax Content Architect will focus on technology implementations, governance and enhancements of tax elements in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and improvements of tax processes within the NA region. With limited supervision, this job develops tax solutions and advice on tax requirements in ERP systems and OneSource. In this role you will work in close liaison with the wider tax team and connect with the technology deployment, sustain & optimize teams, collaborate with DT&D to contribute to efficient tax determination and resulting reporting processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • TAX SOLUTIONS: Support the tax technology implementations (ERP, OneSource and applications), including the gathering of local tax requirements with country or regional tax experts, assisting on the initial design process, performing analysis, testing and assisting on the creation of trainings following a go live.
  • TAX ERP ANALYSIS: Support with building and the maintenance of tax requirements in ERP systems, OneSource and tax dedicated applications, following a standard tax methodology to gather and meet tax requirements.
  • TAX ARCHITECTURE: Assure that the tax requirements are designed, documented and implemented in a consistent manner across all areas within tax using the Tax Methodology, including assisting with the controls in the ERP space, such as monitoring of tax logic in ERP and OneSource.
  • TAX LIASON: Collaborate with other tax content architects and tax managers to come to a joined solution.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Diploma/certificate or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills to embed tax requirements in ERP systems, OneSource or applications.
  • Good understanding of tax reporting requirements as well as the basic understanding of statutory requirements and configuration in current technologies.
  • Basic understanding of tax functionality in enterprise resource planning systems
  • Experience within or good understanding of an international tax/finance environment.
