Key Responsibilities (What you'll do)- Lead and manage technology consulting projects within the ESi railroad practice and lead associated staff and contractors.
- Serve in an individual contributor capacity of developing and reviewing software code and conducting technology development and evaluation.
- Provide technology consulting services to rail clients including the implementation of automation and artificial intelligence.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring technical quality and client satisfaction.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, proposals, and client presentations.
- Develop new technology solutions including building presentations and presenting to rail clients.
- As-needed travel to client and ESi sites to accomplish objectives.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the growth and technical advancement of the Rail Practice.
QualificationsEducation / Certifications / Licenses Required - Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Software, Computer, or related engineering is require
Experience Required- 10+ years of professional experience in developing technologies utilized in the rail industry.
- Software development experience inclusive of design, coding, and reviewing others code in languages such as C++ and Python.
- Experience working with machine vision, LIDAR, and other sensor data.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing engineering projects and teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present to clients and technical audiences.
Other Technical & Non-Technical Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Software programming skills in languages such as C++ and Python.
- Intermediate/advanced skills in LLM use and application with software code.

The pay range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of the compensation we expect to offer most candidates for this role. Total compensation includes a competitive base salary and bonus opportunity, with final pay determined by job-related factors such as experience, qualifications, individual performance, and overall company performance.
After internal discussions and market research, the current pay band for this opportunity is $100,000 to $160,000
Physical Demands:This role requires frequently sitting or standing for extended periods of time and occasionally lifting and/or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, with infrequent lifting up to 75 pounds.
