About The Role We provide our clients with a comprehensive view of strategic communications that leverages our integrated suite of services, including financial communications, corporate reputation, transaction communications and public affairs in all the major markets around the world.
As the Senior Consultant on our Energy & Natural Resources team, you will support team members in the execution of communications programs and, by doing so, will learn the necessary subjects and processes to service and advise clients. You will conduct research for ongoing projects and will work with account teams to execute projects and meet client goals and objectives. In this role, you must keep up-to-date on key issues and current events for clients, and remain informed about market and industry trends.
What You'll Do You will assist the Energy and Natural Resources Sector on all client-related activities. In this role, you will develop in-depth knowledge of clients' objectives and challenges in order to assist them through challenging situations and prepare them for future issues. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Play a role in the research, planning and development of comprehensive communication programs
- Write and edit a variety of materials (e.g., memos, press releases, presentations, emails, media pitches, and web content)
- Manage client expectations and participate in preparing new business presentations
- Address client issues thoughtfully and effectively
- Assist in successfully growing existing accounts
- Mentor junior colleagues and actively participate in firm initiatives

What You Will Need To Succeed Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant industry or field
- 2+ years of relevant experience (communications agency, state/federal government, journalism, think tanks, etc.)
- Must possess superior research, writing and editing skills
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Energy, natural gas, utility, and energy adjacent (i.e. data centers) experience a plus, but not required
- Interest in public policy and energy sector issues
- Solid grasp of public relations, including traditional media relations experience, as well as digital and social media program management experience
- Demonstrated development of a professional network and experience with media contacts, database tools and pitching media to secure client coverage
- Experience with popular blogging tools, publishing software and other social media platforms
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-oriented dynamic environment with regular change
- Proven project management skills and the ability to proactively support/counsel key client relationship
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Understanding of Associated Press Style Guidelines

Compensation Minimum Pay: $80,000
Maximum Pay: $119,000
