Senior Consultant, Investment Optimization & Performance

Location: Cincinnati, OH; Chicago, IL

SUMMARY

The Senior Consultant, Investment Optimization & Performance supports Kroger and CPG partners by delivering a single source of truth for supplier investment reporting, identifying opportunities to protect and grow supplier funding, and translating insights into actions that improve performance. This role blends analytics, stakeholder partnership, and change management to drive adoption of internal tools and embed insights into day-to-day decision making. The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of experience in analytics, category/commercial planning, retail/CPG, or consulting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and maintain standardized reporting and analysis related to investments, spend, and performance.
  • Deliver executive level reporting that provides a single source of truth on investment health, and performance.
  • Analyze investment trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement across investment portfolios.
  • Develop actionable insights and recommendations to optimize investment allocation across programs, categories, and time periods.
  • Monitor performance indicators and flag emerging trends or issues.
  • Partner with Kroger teams and key CPGs to review performance, align on priorities, and track actions through to execution.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-4 years of experience in analytics, retail/CPG, category management, revenue growth management, finance, or consulting.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and/or SQL preferred.
  • Ability to translate data into clear insights, recommendations, and executive-ready storytelling.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; comfortable working "shoulder to shoulder" with internal teams and external partners.
