Overview

BerryDunn is seeking a Senior Consultant to assist with project management tasks such as tracking and reporting project progress, maintaining a project document repository, and reviewing deliverables for quality assurance. You will be driven and success oriented, with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. You will join a core team tasked with helping state and local government agencies increase their revenues, reduce their costs and/or improve performance. 

 

This position is planned to work a combination of on-site at the client and from your home or office. When not on-site with the client, you can work remotely from your home or at one of our office locations.

 

Travel Expectations: This role may travel to client sites up to 25%.

You Will
  • Lead attestations/performance audits
  • Assist in providing consulting services to clients under the supervision of more experienced consultants.
  • Follow appropriate diagnostic, data collection, fact-finding, and data analysis practices.
  • Assist in performing consulting engagements of all sizes.
  • Perform assigned administrative tasks.
  • Develop concise summaries, reports, and presentations of complex data for client leadership.
  • Facilitate meetings and interviews with client stakeholders.
  • Assist with project management tasks such as tracking and reporting project progress, maintaining project document repository, and reviewing deliverables for quality assurance.
  • Provide ad hoc assessments and briefings in response to client requests.
  • Continue to grow professionally through a program of self-development and formal continuing professional education programs.
  • Work toward obtaining appropriate professional certifications.
  • While demonstrated technical competence is necessary, you should also demonstrate human relations skills in dealing with supervised staff, supervisors, firm members, client personnel and the public.
You Have
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting/auditing, preferablyin government accounting/auditing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, balancing multipleassignments and achieving quality results in a timely manner
  • Knowledgeable in quality assurance/control procedures and demonstratedproactive problem management skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent writing and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience leading audits performed in accordance with established audit program guidelines such as Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), and Global Internal Audit Standards.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with relevant certifications, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent credentials are also considered.
Compensation Details

The base salary range targeted for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 This salary range represents BerryDunn27s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
