This is an opportunity to help energy, utility, infrastructure, and public-sector organizations solve practical, high-value business challenges, including asset management, capital planning, project delivery, utility operations, supply chain, procurement, governance, regulatory support, and transformation.

Our clients operate complex, asset-intensive organizations where reliability, safety, affordability, regulatory expectations, customer service, capital discipline, and operational performance all matter. You will work with experienced advisors to assess current-state challenges, analyze data and operating practices, engage stakeholders, develop recommendations, and create implementation-ready tools and deliverables.

We welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds, including consulting, utilities, oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, engineering, operations, maintenance, asset management, project delivery, procurement, supply chain, regulatory affairs, finance, and business analysis. This role provides an opportunity to build on that experience in a practical, client-facing advisory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support current-state assessments, maturity assessments, operating model reviews, process reviews, and transformation initiatives.
  • Conduct research, document reviews, data analysis, benchmarking, jurisdictional scans, and leading-practice assessments.
  • Support asset management engagements, including strategy development, maturity assessments, lifecycle planning, asset data governance, levels of service, capital planning, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Support capital project delivery and PMO advisory engagements, including project governance, delivery models, work packaging, stage-gate alignment, project controls, portfolio delivery, and execution improvement.
  • Assist with supply chain, inventory, warehousing, materials management, vendor management, and strategic sourcing engagements.
  • Support regulatory, cost allocation, governance, and performance improvement assignments for utility and infrastructure organizations.
  • Prepare interview guides; facilitate or support stakeholder interviews and workshops; and synthesize findings into practical insights.
  • Develop clear, client-ready deliverables, including presentations, reports, dashboards, process maps, workplans, decision materials, implementation roadmaps, and Excel-based analytical models.
  • Translate analysis into practical, evidence-based, and implementable recommendations.
  • Support proposal development, qualifications materials, and business development activities, as required.
  • Collaborate with partners, managers, senior consultants, analysts, subject matter experts, and client stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, commerce, economics, public policy, operations, supply chain, finance, environmental studies, planning, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in management consulting, utility operations, energy, infrastructure, engineering, operations, maintenance, asset management, project delivery, supply chain, regulatory affairs, finance, or business analysis.
  • Strong analytical, research, problem-structuring, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize information, identify patterns, and translate analysis into clear findings and recommendations.
  • Experience developing client-ready deliverables using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and related tools.
  • Comfort working with stakeholders across technical, operational, financial, and executive functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and deliverables in a deadline-driven consulting environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience working with electric, gas, water, wastewater, district energy, municipal utility, infrastructure, regulatory, oil and gas, or mining organizations.
  • Experience with capital projects, PMO, project controls, project governance, business cases, delivery models, or program and portfolio management.
  • Experience with an external consulting firm or an internal consulting, strategy, transformation, or operational excellence function.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Maximo, SAP, Oracle, Power BI, CMMS, EAM, ERP, or other asset information systems.
  • Professional credentials, or progress toward credentials, such as P.Eng., EIT, PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci, CMC, CPA, CFA, MBA, or a related certification.
