What You Will Do:


Guidehouse supports the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) to execute its missionto ensure our nation has the safest, most efficient and modern transportation system in the world. We are searching for a strategy and organizational consultant to help clients execute against their mission effectively and efficiently and work collaboratively with our clients to help them work through their most pressing challenges. From implementing new policies to standardizing operations across offices, we work side-by-side with government leaders to solve important problems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and knowledge management activities that enable successful technology implementation outcomes.

  • Participate in information gathering session with clients regarding organizational structure, process, technology, and culture
  • Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for the client
  • Support stakeholder engagement efforts, including workshops, listening sessions, and outreach campaigns
  • Design, administer, and analyze stakeholder feedback mechanisms including quarterly pulse surveys, readiness assessments, and post-training evaluations
  • Draft, update, and quality-control edit strategic communication work products
  • Develop and maintain public-facing intranet content and online resources
  • Manage content for SharePoint, Google Sites, Drupal, or similar collaboration platforms
  • Develop and maintain user-friendly training materials, job aids, and reference products
  • Present work products and information to clients in meetings and facilitate discussions on those items
  • Collaborate with a team to develop solutions to solve organizational challenges for a government client leading major unification initiatives
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues
  • Work with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budget


What You Will Need:


  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust; Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen due to nature of client engagements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience supporting communications, change management, training, stakeholder engagement, or organizational transformation initiatives
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce executive-level deliverables
  • Strong facilitation, coordination, relationship management, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities
  • Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work in a Guidehouse Office or Client Office


What Would Be Nice To Have:


  • PMP, CCMP, or related certification.
  • Experience with organizational change management methodologies, such as Prosci, ADKAR, or comparable frameworks
  • Experience administering and analyzing surveys using Qualtrics or a comparable platform
  • Experience creating executive dashboards, performance reports, and adoption metrics
  • Experience developing strategic communications
  • Experience supporting enterprise technology implementation, grants management modernization, or other large-scale transformation programs
  • Experience working with Federal, state, or local transportation organization


The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
