Full Job Description
Position Summary

The Senior Scheduler is responsible for creating construction schedules using Primavera Project Planning software (P6), coordinating project reporting to clients, managing resource requirements, and providing two-week advance schedules and other schedule updates. This role will provide schedule analysis, progress reports, and change impact analysis to support efficient project execution and ensure schedule integrity across all phases of construction.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, monitor, and update integrated project plans and schedules to ensure projects are executed in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams.
  • Assess impacts on the critical path and near-critical activities and report findings to the project team.
  • Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in developing corrective action methods.
  • Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis on a periodic basis.
  • Maintain a record of scope changes, trends, and variances that affect schedule performance.
  • Ensure the credibility and accuracy of schedule information through consistent review and validation.
  • Review schedules with project team members regularly to incorporate timely data and progress updates.
  • Analyze and verify schedules from subcontractors and vendors for logic and accuracy.
  • Evaluate activity sequences for constructability and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Make recommendations to manage float and resequencing activities to achieve project milestones and target completion dates.
  • Analyze change orders for schedule impacts and recommend appropriate adjustments.
  • Resource load schedules as required by the project team.
  • Conduct job-site walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities.
  • Facilitate project scheduling and interactive planning meetings as needed.
  • Participate in project and departmental staff meetings.
  • Comply with established scheduling practices and procedures.
  • Document and record project historical schedule information and lessons learned for future reference.
  • Provide guidance and training to developing planners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What We're Looking For
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scheduler on heavy/highway construction projects (Structures, Bridges, Underground, Earthwork, and Concrete Paving)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline is preferred
  • Field operations experience is strongly preferred
  • Flexibility with relocation for assigned projects
