Job Description
We are looking for a talented
Senior Construction Project Scheduler/Planner to join our dedicated team
onsite inWorcester, MA.
In this role, you will be accountable for developing, progressing, and forecasting all phases of the project schedule/plan using the most current industry practices and software. Provide planning leadership and integrate with engineering, procurement, cost, technical & construction disciplines for seamless reporting to ensure effective Capital Project Delivery.

- Develop, monitor, and update project Plans & Schedules encompassing the entire engineering, procurement, construction, and qualification (EPCQ) life cycle.
- Baseline schedules and document the basis for approval.
- Monitor schedule progress, deviations, and variances and assess impacts to the critical/near-critical path activities.
- Assist in developing alternatives for corrective action.
- Analyze schedule input from project partners, including clients, internal teams, vendors, and contractors, to verify schedule durations and integrity as well as evaluate logic and float paths.
- Integrate into an overall master schedule.
- Assure the credibility of the information in the master schedule.
- Make recommendations to manage float and (re)sequence activities to achieve project milestone/target dates.
- Analyze scope changes & change orders for schedule impacts.
- Perform jobsite walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities
- Regularly progress & review schedules with the project team to ensure accurate and timely data is incorporated and forecasted.
- Prepare schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis.
- Emphasis on data visualization and effective team communication.
- Ability to generate earned value, SPI, CPI, and other schedule performance metrics.
- Maintain a record of scope changes, trends, and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.
- Some of these are redundant and can likely be combined/reduced in the number of bullets.
- Work in a highly collaborative and dynamic project environment.
- Collaborate with estimating & cost control to resource/cost load schedules as required.
- Collaborate with the team to support constructability and value engineering.
- Collaborate with all groups to improve company processes, systems, and intellectual infrastructure to promote organizational learning and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate/participate in project scheduling meetings, as well as Pull/Phase/Takt/Interactive planning sessions as required to develop, refine, and progress project plans.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills are required, with the ability to prioritize and manage large amounts of information to effectively meet deadlines.
- Evaluate schedule risk & perform analysis (Monte Carlo Simulation, etc.) as required.
- At the project's completion, develop and record the project's historical schedule information and "lessons learned".
- Provide mentorship, supervision, and leadership for more junior department and project personnel.
The salary offered for this role is between $152,000 and $202,000, but the actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set, and education.
Qualifications & Requirements
- BS degree in engineering or related technical field, construction management, or applicable experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience as a construction planner/scheduler on facilities capital projects
- Understanding of engineering, construction methodologies, and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated expertise in the use of modern planning and scheduling principles, methodologies, techniques, and tools, including CPM, Last Planner, 4D, etc.
- Strong analytical and computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6 Planner, Microsoft Project, as well as MS Office Suite programs (MS Excel, MS Access, Power BI, etc.).
- Knowledge of Short Interval Planning Software (Touchplan, vPlanner & other), BIM 360, and other visual & collaborative planning tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, and qualification (EPCQ) processes in the Pharma/Biotech Industry.
- PMI, AACEI, or other industry certifications.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods.
- Must possess the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
- Must be able to climb ladders as necessary.
Work Environment
- Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include exposure to varying working conditions.
- Must be able to adhere to strict cleanroom gowning protocol.
Travel
- This position will have 50% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
- You may be assigned to the client site for an extended period.
- Overnight travel or staying in the city of the Client's location is possible, depending on the assignment.

- You will visit construction sites and will be required to take site safety training and adhere to site safety rules.
- Must have access to reliable transportation.
- Must have the ability to travel and commute on a daily or routine basis.

- This position is a safety-sensitive position.
- The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
