Senior Construction Project ManagerLocation: Richmond, VA (Onsite - 5 Days/Week)
Salary: $150,000 - $170,000
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex construction projects in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing projects within the Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, R&D, or Healthcare sectors and be capable of overseeing all phases of project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution activities
- Manage project teams, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee project financials, including forecasting, cost control, change management, and reporting
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved
- Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving issues
- Review construction documents, contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide clear communication to clients and leadership
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, regulatory, and project-specific requirements
- Coordinate design, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentations on project status, budget, schedule, and risks
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- 8+ years of construction project management experience, including leadership of large or complex projects
- Direct experience managing Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, R&D, or Healthcare construction projects required
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project controls, budgeting, and scheduling
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
- Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with cGMP, laboratory, clean room, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments
- Knowledge of Primavera P6, Procore, PM Web, or similar project management platforms
- PMP, CCM, PE, or other industry certifications are a plus
