Position Overview

Position Summary: Administer compensation programs and provide support to Human Resource representatives regarding compensation issues or requests. Support the Compensation team on a variety of annual projects including compensation program design, merit and incentive cycle and market survey analysis.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The below is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organization and the overall business objectives of the organization

  • Responsible for day-to-day administration of compensation plans and policy documentation
  • Completes third party market and salary survey submissions; manages internal survey library
  • Analyzes internal and external salary and wage data, completes job evaluations, and recommends pay ranges and job titles in accordance with established company structure and guidelines
  • Completes total compensation and base pay increase proposal reviews to ensure alignment with company policies, guidelines, internal and external competitiveness, and to ensure compliance with applicable legal and fiscal regulations
  • Support annual compensation processes such as merit, annual incentive, minimum wage and budget support to ensure programs are in accordance with plan documentation and applicable regulations.
  • Administer monthly and quarterly short term incentive process including calculation, communication, processing and auditing
  • Drafts and coordinates communication of compensation messaging and announcements related to annual salary and wage planning, routine compensation analyses, and related initiatives to human resources, managers, and employees
  • Prepares and maintains company-wide job description records; develops and maintains job description reference library
  • Generates routine audit reports and analyzes data to ensure compliance with applicable policies. Compiles recommendations and submits to manager
  • Assists in completing a variety of compensation data analyses, program usage and effectiveness reviews
  • Provides input into the design of new programs; develops associated policy and procedures documentation and other supporting communications

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Human Resources, Business or Finance
  • Work Experience:
    • 4 years of Compensation experience
    • CCP or similar certification preferred
    • Experience analyzing data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.
  • Knowledge and Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS Systems, and compensation tools (ADP and CompXL experience a plus)
    • Strong analytical skills, data interpretation skills, and a high level of attention to detail
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with HR partners and business leaders
    • Demonstrated knowledge of compensation structures, job architecture, market pricing, and pay equity (Mercer experience preferred)
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the company

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently

Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to fulfill office activities including but not limited to remain stationary for extended periods of time (i.e. while working at a desk), stoop/kneel/crouch, travel around the office, communicate with others (verbal and written), and use fine motor skills including fine hand manipulation and keyboarding.
  • Ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
