Job Description

The Senior Compensation Analyst provides guidance and support to the Leaders and HR Business Partners for all compensation related activities. The Senior Compensation Analyst works with a variety of stakeholders across the Company to develop and present compensation alternatives or recommendations while maintaining consistency with the compensation philosophy and guidelines. Recommendations and guidance is often complex and spans multiple business units, sub-companies or as a result of acquisitions. The position requires a high sense of urgency, strong project management skills, strong database management skills, and the ability to deliver accurate work in a highly complex environment. The position requires annual market analysis with associated recommendations and includes geographical differentials, variable pay, sales and incentive plans and other compensation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and consultation to HR Business Partners and Leaders regarding compensation, incentive design, regulatory and other compensation related programs
  • Complete job evaluations for leaders, Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition to retain, reward and recruit key talent.
  • Assists and recommends job descriptions for new, modified, and consolidated jobs across the Company.
  • Create and maintain current salary structure for entire company to include geographical differentials.
  • Leads various compensation processes such as merit, minimum wage, sales incentives, annual bonus, and other compensation related programs.
  • Ongoing auditing of base salary issues as it applies to external market, internal equity, and salary guideline compliance.
  • Reviews and approves compensation exceptions per the Compensation guidelines.
  • Conduct reviews and recommends actions based on the Fair Labor Standards Act and state required compensation regulations
  • Performs advanced compensation analysis with recommendations to identify trends, creates dashboards and other requests
  • Leads incentive and commission plan design and implementation as required.
  • Develops compensation communications and training materials to support various programs and changes
  • Partners with other analysts in the identification and implementation of process enhancements and developing new applications or upgrades for compensation systems and tools. This requires documenting business requirements, advising on process, testing systems, and updating data structures
  • Assesses the impact of compensation changes as they affect budgets and revenue. Recommends options regarding program design, costs and including alternative approaches.

Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Related work experience can be substituted for some educational requirements.

Work Experience:
  • 4+ years of compensation experience including compensation incentive analysis experience, administration, and design experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced Excel expertise required. (Includes pivot tables, graphs, Indexing, vlookups and other advanced functionality)
  • Excellent experience in PowerPoint and Word
  • Prefer HRIS merit and bonus processing experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills a must.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to create graphic presentations of data
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight timelines.
