ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking a Corporate Marketing and Communications Specialist leads and executes integrated communications that strengthen the Tepa Companies' brand, engage employees, and increase awareness of the company's capabilities, culture, people, and accomplishments. The role establishes communications priorities and standards and provides day-to-day direction and oversight for the Communications Coordinator.
Job Functions:
- Partners with the CHRTRO to develop and execute corporate marketing and communications strategy, priorities, annual plans, and budgets.
- Collaborates across leadership, business lines, and corporate functions to identify communications needs, establish priorities, and determine appropriate communications approaches and deliverables.
- Supervises and provides day-to-day leadership and direction to the Communications Coordinator, establishing priorities, assigning work, providing guidance and feedback, and monitoring progress and performance.
- Reviews and approves assigned communications activities and deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and alignment with department priorities and company standards.
- Owns and manages the use of Monday.com as the primary work and project management platform, establishing workflows, project structures, priorities, assignments, timelines, and reporting practices.
- Owns corporate and employer-brand voice, tone, key messages, narratives, and editorial direction across employee, recruiting, and external communications.
- Leads development of communications, campaigns, and storytelling that build employee awareness, engagement, recognition, and connection to company priorities and programs, and develops priority or higher-profile content as needed.
- Partners with Talent Management to develop and execute communications that support recruiting, internship programs, employee experience, and positioning the Tepa Companies as an employer of choice.
- Collaborates with Technical Writing and Creative Services to establish and maintain alignment with brand, messaging, and editorial standards.
- Owns the internal communications calendar, establishes communications priorities and timing, and coordinates communications across leadership, business lines, corporate functions, and company initiatives.
- Owns editorial strategy, content priorities, final editorial review, and overall accountability for The Tepa Times; directs the publication calendar and content pipeline and oversees production and distribution.
- Monitors readership and engagement and uses available data and employee feedback to improve newsletter content and effectiveness.
- Owns website content strategy, priorities, standards, and approval of substantive content changes; oversees ongoing content maintenance and enhancements.
- Develops or directs development of priority website content about company projects, capabilities, people, culture, careers, accomplishments, and other corporate priorities, coordinating information and approvals with appropriate stakeholders.
- Owns the company's presence and content strategy across approved social media platforms, including objectives, audiences, publishing cadence, content priorities, and approval of the social media content calendar.
- Monitors social media performance and translates results into recommendations and changes to improve content and channel effectiveness.
- Leads marketing and promotional planning and coordinates priorities, communications, and higher-level requirements for conferences, trade shows, recruiting events, employee events, and other special events; delegates routine logistics and fulfillment as appropriate.
- Owns the company's digital storefront and branded merchandise program, including program standards, sourcing strategy, merchandise selection, budget considerations, inventory approach, and overall program performance.
- Partners with Creative Services and internal stakeholders to ensure event and merchandise materials and messaging align with company brand standards.
- Owns relationships with printers, promotional suppliers, apparel vendors, and other external partners, including vendor selection, performance, issue escalation, and higher-level business decisions.
- Leads vendor selection and cross-functional coordination based on capabilities, quality, service, cost, and business needs, while delegating routine ordering and transaction coordination as appropriate.
- Represents the Tepa Companies at relevant professional organizations, industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Builds professional relationships and maintains awareness of emerging marketing and communications practices to strengthen company visibility and identify relevant opportunities for the Tepa Companies.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate communications, marketing communications, or a related field, including significant experience developing content for multiple internal and external communications channels.
- 1 year of experience providing supervision, work direction, or similar leadership responsibility preferred.
- Experience with internal communications, digital content, social media, website content management, employer branding, and/or corporate storytelling.
- Knowledge of corporate marketing and communications principles, practices, strategies, and planning.
- Knowledge of brand management, messaging, storytelling, editorial standards, and audience-focused communications.
- Knowledge of internal communications, employee engagement, employer branding, social media, website content, and digital communications best practices.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling content for diverse audiences and channels.
- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to translate technical and project information into accessible and engaging communications.
- Ability to identify compelling stories and communications opportunities proactively rather than relying solely on assigned content.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound professional judgment, and appropriately handle sensitive or confidential information.
Salary Range:
$90,000.00 - $105,000.00
