Full Job Description
DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Communications Specialist leads internal communications efforts that strengthen Talos's culture and support strategic priorities. This role helps to unite employees and delivers clear, consistent messaging and company updates that inspire and connect everyday work to our long-term strategy. Key responsibilities include developing communication campaigns and supporting materials, serving as a business parter to key internal leaders, and monitoring engagement metrics.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the communications partner for IT, HR, HSE, Operations, and the Community Committee.
  • Develop communications plans, calendars, and content to support business priorities.
  • Write, edit, and approve internal content, including HUB posts, newsletters, leadership messages, and other communications.
  • Manage the communications content calendar, governance, and team intake process.
  • Support change management communications for major initiatives, operational changes, and safety efforts.
  • Create messaging and materials for town halls, leadership meetings, executive announcements, and employee engagement events.
  • Lead charitable giving and community communications, including sponsorships, strategy, and committee support.
  • Provide communications guidance on presentations, talking points, memos, and campaign materials.
  • Develop and execute internal communications strategies that reinforce company values, culture, and business priorities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, ideally within the E&P, oil & gas, or energy sectors.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience working in crisis communications and high-stakes engagement environments.
  • Leads collaboration by example - cultivating strong working relationships, navigating diverse perspectives and challenges with professionalism and empathy.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable interfacing with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Working knowledge of offshore E&P industry a plus.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory environments, ESG, and energy policy is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have use of arms and hands in repetitive motion. A fair amount of standing and walking is also required for the position.
