Job DescriptionSenior Commissioning Manager ISUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a
Senior Commissioning Manager I that will be responsible for driving and leading project construction and contract administration activities with a focus on successful commissioning, actively engaging in delivering larger and more complex assignments, and supporting Commissioning Managers in planning and conducting work that requires independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of commissioning techniques, procedures, and criteria.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Execute and direct functional performance testing in the field
- Draft technical documents for issue resolutions, lessons learned, and best practices
- Conduct training and educational sessions within your discipline
- Communicate effectively across disciplines for construction coordination and issue resolution
- Collaborate with contractors in the field to resolve commissioning issues during testing
- Develop and coordinate system test procedures and oversee document control
- Support business development and new project sales
- Lead team members by example, offering effective coaching and feedback
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering,
OR 15+ years of equivalent field experience
- Minimum eight years of construction management or commissioning experience, preferably with an MEP Contractor or Commissioning firm
- Expert understanding of how design, construction, start-up, commissioning, and turnover align within the project delivery process
- Mastery of the commissioning process, L0-L5, and solid understanding of key construction documents and their relationship to QA/QC
- Comprehensive understanding of building systems across disciplines and fundamental knowledge in at least one discipline such as HVAC, plumbing/piping, electrical, lighting, instrumentation, and controls, or building envelope systems
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and anticipate project work, delegate workload, and balance workload within a team
- Proven positive and professional attitude with excellent customer service skills and ability to coach and lead teams
- Ability to travel up to 50%

The base pay range for this role is $158,900MIN - $238,400MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
