Full Job Description
The Senior Commercial Analyst is a highly visible role responsible for driving data-driven business decisions that improve profitability, operational performance, and long-term growth. This position partners directly with senior leadership and collaborates across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, Finance, and Manufacturing to deliver actionable insights that influence strategic direction and business results.

The ideal candidate is analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable working with large datasets, complex business challenges, and executive-level stakeholders. This role offers significant exposure to leadership, the opportunity to influence key business decisions, and a strong pathway for professional growth within the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Strategic Pricing
  • Support and help drive the organization's pricing strategy to maximize profitability and competitive positioning.
  • Develop pricing models, analyses, and recommendations to support new products, option take rates, and market initiatives.
  • Evaluate pricing opportunities and risks across products, channels, and customer segments.
  • Partner with commercial and operational leaders to monitor and improve margin performance.

Cost Evaluation
  • Monitor component level cost trends and provide recommendations to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives focused on cost reduction and margin expansion.

Inventory Control, Analysis & SOP Development
  • Analyze inventory levels, turns, aging, and overall inventory performance.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve inventory management and working capital efficiency.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to inventory reporting, controls, and analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, visibility, and decision-making processes.

Data Aggregation & Business Insight
  • Gather, validate, and consolidate data from multiple systems and sources to support business analysis.
  • Transform complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support strategic and operational objectives.

Reporting
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting packages for leadership teams.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, summaries, and performance updates.
  • Communicate financial and operational insights in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Ad Hoc Projects
  • Lead and support special projects involving commercial strategy, operational improvement, profitability enhancement, and business transformation.
  • Conduct research, analysis, and modeling to support key business initiatives and leadership requests.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams focused on process improvement and organizational effectiveness.

Skills & Knowledge:
  • 5+ years of commercial analysis, finance, data analytics or other related experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred to be in business, finance or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft excel with experience in Power Point & Word
  • Proven process and project management skills with the ability to develop and execute a multistep plan across several functions
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategies based on competitive knowledge, market trends and business opportunities
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and have highly effective listening and communication skills as well as strong negotiation, analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as profitability and statistical inference
  • Ability to create product presentations, present data in meaningful ways and product launch materials with original or innovative techniques or style and to make clear and effective presentation to top management

Other Skills/Abilities
  • Syteline, OneStream, CPQ and/or Power BI experience preferred
  • Should exhibit a high level of energy, self-starter initiative and problem-solving skills that lead to the implementation and achievement of timely results
  • Needs to be able to perform all duties using an open harmonious management style, and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure, ambiguous environment
  • The role will have high visibility to the GM and executive staff on a frequent basis requiring qualified candidates to have executive presence and well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A natural problem solver with project management skills and the ability to lead cross functional project teams
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and to respond effectively to sensitive inquires
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables
