Job Description:

As Senior Commercial Manager, you will lead a team of commercial managers, application specialists, and product experts responsible for accelerating adoption of Caterpillar's mining electrification solutions. You will lead the development and execution of commercial strategy for Resource Industries Electrification offerings, including Cat® Dynamic Energy Transfer (DET), battery-electric mining equipment, and other energy transition solutions.
This role is responsible for transforming customer requirements into scalable commercial solutions that help mining customers improve productivity, reduce operating costs, optimize energy utilization, and advance sustainability objectives. Working closely with customers, regional teams, dealers, and product groups, you will develop innovative commercial models, customer value propositions, and go-to-market strategies that accelerate market adoption and business growth.
You will oversee a team who provide subject matter expertise, develop customer business cases, support strategic account engagements, and lead commercialization activities across the global mining industry. Positioned within the Resource Industries commercial organization, this role serves as a key link between customer needs, product strategy, and commercial execution, ensuring Caterpillar remains the trusted partner for customers navigating their energy transition.

What You Will Do:
• Lead a global team of commercial managers, application specialists, and subject matter experts focused on understanding customer challenges and developing commercial solutions that accelerate adoption of Caterpillar's electrification portfolio.
• Develop and execute commercialization and go-to-market strategies for emerging electrification technologies, including Cat® Dynamic Energy Transfer (DET).
• Build trusted relationships with customers, dealers, and internal stakeholders to support strategic account growth and technology adoption.
• Lead customer engagements, workshops, and business case development focused on productivity, total cost of ownership, decarbonization, and operational performance.
• Develop compelling customer value propositions by quantifying operational, economic, and sustainability benefits and communicating total cost of ownership and value realization outcomes.
• Support pilot deployments, early adopter programs, and commercialization governance processes to ensure successful implementation and scale-up of electrification solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer adoption, and deployment results to influence future product, service, and commercial strategy.
• Foster a high-performing culture centered on customer focus, innovation, collaboration, accountability, and business growth.

What skills you will have:
Industry Knowledge:
Experience in Electrification; deep technical and commercial knowledge of the challenges of electrifying a mine site; knowledge of electrification products and services; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations
Relationship Management: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. Understanding of the criticality of getting things done in spite of current circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.
Value Selling: Knowledge of business market concepts and principles; ability to utilize the processes, tools and techniques for gathering, analyzing, and communicating information about the competitive environment
Customer Focus: Knowledge of various types of customers and ability to analyze customer activities, profiles and information

Additional Information:
The primary location for this position is Tucson, AZ.
International and Domestic travel up to 60%.

Summary Pay Range:

$172,630.00 - $258,950.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
