Full Job Description
Description & Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Computer Network Operations (CNO) Software Development Instructor with a passion for mentorship, education, and technical leadership. In this dual-faceted role, you will not only engineer cutting-edge capabilities but also serve as the foundational pillar for our program's educational initiatives.

You will divide your expertise between low-level software development and the creation, update, and delivery of advanced technical curriculum. As a Senior CNO Software Development Instructor, you will bridge the gap between complex operational requirements and classroom execution, ensuring our team and partners stay ahead of the rapidly evolving cyber landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development & Engineering: Design, develop, test, and maintain low-level CNO tools, frameworks, and exploits. Analyze system architectures (Windows, Linux, mobile, or embedded) to identify vulnerabilities and engineer robust solutions.
  • Curriculum Development & Instructional Design: Author, review, and continuously update deeply technical training curricula, lab environments, and courseware. Translate complex cyber concepts into structured, digestible learning modules.
  • Instruction & Technical Mentorship: Deliver high-impact technical instruction and hands-on lab facilitation to students, operators, and engineers. Provide real-world context to theoretical concepts.
  • Subject Matter Expertise (SME): Serve as the program's go-to authority on CNO methodologies, reverse engineering, operating system internals, and defensive/offensive cyber tactics.
  • Lab Infrastructure Maintenance: Build, configure, and maintain scalable virtualized or containerized lab environments (e.g., using Docker, VMware, or AWS) to simulate realistic operational scenarios for student training.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-10+ years of experience in low-level software development, reverse engineering, AI tooling and LLM design, or operational CNO roles.
  • Languages: Strong proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Assembly (x86/x64, ARM, or MIPS).
  • OS Internals: Deep understanding of Windows or Linux/Unix operating system internals (kernel structures, memory management, process execution, and IPC).
  • Education/Instruction Experience: Proven track record of teaching, mentoring, or developing technical training materials (e.g., creating CTF challenges, academic lecturing, or corporate technical training).
  • Tools: Familiarity with reverse engineering and debugging tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, Windbg, or GDB.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with containerization and virtualization tech for lab deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, Proxmox, ESXi).
  • Prior experience supporting government, defense, or intelligence community cyber training programs.
  • Familiarity with instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE, Agile Learning Design).
  • Active security clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
