JOB SUMMARY:Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.
JOB DUTIES:- Adept at SWISS Machining
- Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Reads and interprets blueprints and solid models.
- Properly and safely loads and unloads raw materials in CNC machinery.
- Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
- Ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot multi-axes machines including CNC lathes, mills, millturn and swiss machines, without assistance. Must be self sufficient.
- Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements
- Must be proficient with Haas controls.
- Understands, interprets and edits G-code programming.
- Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling.
- Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets.
- Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
- Be adept in swiss machine CNC
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:- Skilled in different Axis and machine types.
- Swiss Machining highly preferable.
- Must own tools to perform basic measuring tasks i.e. micrometers, dial indicator, height gage, and misc. hand tools.
INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATIONS SKILLS:Position requires contact primarily within the department on routine matters. Contact outside the department within the company is minimal.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School education or Equivalent. Certificate (Trade school) Helpful. Minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical or electrical assembly processes
LANGUAGE SKILLS:Comprehension of the English language necessary. Must have ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, blueprints, ISO 9001 Assembly Procedures, and any other documents related to product assembly or sub-assembly. Ability to effectively communicate with superiors and other employees one-on-one, or in small group situations.
MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND VISUAL DEMANDS:Position requires close vision, coordination to perform close work with hands, and the ability to work under pressure of a scheduled deadline.
Pay Range: $50 - $60 per hour
