Key Responsibilities: - Set up and operate multi-axis CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with live tooling.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Select, install, and maintain tooling, fixtures, and workholding.
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Monitor machining runs, adjust parameters, and ensure parts meet print specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues; recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate closely with programmers to maintain efficient workflows.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
Required Qualifications: - Typically 3-5+ years of CNC set-up experience with 5-axis mills and CNC lathes.
- Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, TNC-7, and Haas.
- Proven ability to hold tight tolerances up to 0.0001.
- Proficient in reading/interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Skilled with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.).
- Experience machining aerospace alloys (aluminum, titanium, Inconel, etc.).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented, enthusiastic, and eager to learn and grow.
Desired Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience working with 3-axis and 5-axis machines
- Experience post-machining of additively manufactured components
- Experience machining aluminum, titanium and nickel alloys
Our office headquarters is located in Playa Vista, CA. This position requires in office presence.The California hourly rate for this role is currently $47.00 - $61.00. Pay Grades are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and internal equity.
