Job Summary

This position serves as a Senior Cloud Architect / Azure & AWS DevOps Architect responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and support of cloud-based information technology solutions across current and future-state environments. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and operationalizing highly available and scalable infrastructure, security services, and system components across Microsoft Azure, AWS, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and SharePoint environments. The position requires advanced technical expertise, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong collaboration with architects, application developers, technical teams, and stakeholders. The role also oversees cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, application deployments, legacy system integrations, automation, monitoring, security, and operational support across the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational design, maintenance, and operation of cloud-based platforms including Azure, AWS, and Salesforce.
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices to technical teams regarding operational, technical, and procedural requirements.
  • Lead automation initiatives to minimize manual work and improve transparency across the secure cloud ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain requirements and translate them into technical implementations.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain containers, Kubernetes, and automation tools.
  • Lead efforts to integrate legacy systems with proposed cloud-based systems by identifying gaps between current and future states and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Oversee and develop continuous integration and continuous delivery frameworks and tools.
  • Establish frameworks, processes, and operational practices for infrastructure as code and automation.
  • Lead technical and end-user resources in executing detailed tests and analyzing testing results.
  • Document and communicate issues, solutions, and timelines to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Assist with the implementation of customer-side monitoring tools and lead operational outage events.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure including networking, storage, and computing services.
  • Provide timely and responsive technical support and leadership across departments and applications, including rotational 24/7 on-call support.
  • Support application and code deployments throughout the SDLC.
  • Collaborate with peer architects and application developers to maintain, improve, and develop cloud environments.
  • Create and migrate pipelines across multiple instances.
  • Implement and maintain DevOps deployment processes, operational checklists, and best practices.
  • Support scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant environments across on-premises and hosted data centers.


Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience as a computer systems analyst or network administrator.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with cloud-based platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud in an enterprise environment.
  • At least 7 years of software engineering experience in a team-based environment.
  • Advanced experience integrating legacy platforms and applications with cloud-based systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
  • Advanced experience with Web Services, APIs, REST, and RPC.
  • Advanced experience with deploying, managing, operating, and monitoring applications in scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, virtualization, and cloud security.
  • Advanced experience with containers, Kubernetes, and automation tools.
  • Advanced experience with Terraform, YAML, and Azure Cloud-Hub.
  • Advanced experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Advanced experience creating and migrating pipelines across multiple instances.
  • Advanced experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Advanced experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing.
  • Advanced experience with Gearset for Salesforce cloud-based deployments.
  • Advanced experience with source code management tools such as Git, GitHub, and GitLab.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Salesforce AD201 and AD301 certifications or equivalent Salesforce experience.
  • Microsoft Certified System Administrator, Microsoft Certified Engineer, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert training/certification.
  • Experience with current Unix/Linux operating system training or certifications.


Certifications

Current Microsoft Azure AZ-305 certification is mandatory.

Current AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification is mandatory.

Current Salesforce AD201 and AD301 certifications are preferred.

Microsoft Certified System Administration, Engineer training/certifications, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert certification.

Current Unix/Linux Operating System training/certification.
