The
Senior Clinical Reporting Analyst partners with business leaders, clinical teams, pharmacy operations, quality management, finance, and technology stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that improve member outcomes, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and business performance. This role leverages healthcare and pharmacy data to identify trends, develop reporting solutions, support strategic initiatives, and drive data-informed decision-making across Optum Rx. The Sr. Clinical Reporting Analyst serves as a subject matter expert in analytics and mentors junior analysts while leading complex analytical projects. Primary Responsibilities:- Analyze pharmacy claims, member, provider, financial, and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting using Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
- Partner with business stakeholders to define analytical requirements and translate business questions into data solutions
- Perform root cause analyses to support quality, compliance, operational excellence, and cost-management initiatives
- Create recurring and ad hoc reporting for leadership teams
- Develop complex SQL queries and data models to support reporting and analytics needs
- Ensure data quality, integrity, validation, and governance standards are maintained
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, business-focused manner
- Support regulatory, audit, accreditation, and compliance reporting requirements
- Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to improve analytical processes and automation
- Mentor junior analysts and promote analytics best practices across the organization

Required Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, healthcare analytics, or related disciplines
- 5+ years of experience with Power BI, Tableau, SAS, Python, R, or similar analytic tools
- 5+ years of experience with analytical, problem-solving, and data visualization tools
- 5+ years of experience with communicating technical findings to business and executive audiences
- Advanced level of SQL skills and experience working with large enterprise databases

The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
