Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity? As a Senior Claims Business Initiatives and Enablement Specialist, you will be responsible to lead various projects, business initiatives, system enhancements and day to day business support activities. This role requires sound technical knowledge of the claim systems, strong understanding of claims adjudication processes and procedures, and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives at once.
You will be a key technical resource and trusted advisor to Claims Operations leadership, responsible for both driving transformational change and ensuring the stability and efficiency of day-to-day claims operations.
What will you do? - Lead process, system, and business support to all types of change initiatives driven by or impacting the Insurance organization including technology projects, new product launches, audits, system enhancements, consulting engagements and business as usual initiatives
- Act as the primary contact to provide and/or seek out all required subject matter expertise related to Insurance
- Represent the business during preliminary assessment activities and initial requirements gathering for projects
- Conduct other duties related to supporting the business, including hypothetical inquiries, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrades of source systems, letter content, system support and queries
- Create SOP's, job aids, training support material as required for various initiatives, projects, and business processes and own successful implementation and adoption of change
- Participate in the development and delivery of process and procedure documentation; collaborate with training teams to plan and execute training as required
- Act as an advocate for change, communicating the benefits and necessity of change initiatives to colleagues and stakeholders, developing and executing change plans
- Mentors and supports the development of other Claims Business Initiatives and Enablement Specialists
What will you need to succeed? Must have:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of Insurance industry experience; including claims and/or disability experience with a strong understanding of Life & Health claims and policy contract knowledge
- Post secondary college or university
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Claims related applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, FINEOS, and other RBC Insurance legacy systems
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to lead change initiatives
- Project and/or process improvement experience
- Change management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under competing deadlines
Nice to have:- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience leading cross-functional teams or initiatives

Pay RangeThe expected pay range for this position is:
$67,000.00 - $110,000.00
