Full Job Description
Job title: Senior Civil Project Engineer - Land Development

EAC Consulting, Inc. is looking for a licensed Civil Engineer (PE) to serve as Senior Project Engineer within our Land Development team at our Miami Main office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Engineering

  • Serves as Engineer of Record or Project Manager where needed.
  • Demonstrates engineering expertise with full knowledge of the governing design criteria, permitting requirements and other requirements to deliver successful projects.
  • Implements the Quality Control Plan to deliver quality deliverables.
  • Demonstrates full understanding of client contracts, scope of services, budget requirements (for client and Company), and technical requirements for the project.


Management

  • Develops scope of services and negotiates fees required for success.
  • Plans tasks required to complete projects and leads a team to implement them on-time/within budget.
  • Manages scope, identifying additional services and working with client to get additional fees.


Business Development (BD)

  • Maintains positive relationships with current and past clients.
  • Seeks BD opportunities through active marketing with clients.
  • Participates in industry organizations and contributes to social media and internal intranet posts to further EAC's brand.
  • Leads or contributes to BD pursuits. Develops Go/NoGo and Win Plans with winning concepts and strategies. Contributes technical write-ups. Develops presentations and participates in interviews.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience. 15+ years of experience would be preferred.
  • Experience working on small- to large-sized projects with multiple disciplines and medium complexity (multi-disciplined services requiring coordination).
  • Extensive knowledge of codes, principles and practices of engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of civil engineering and design standards.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the project development process.
  • Skilled in CADD (including 3D) and other design tools.
  • Good verbal, technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to understand, analyze, and process complex technical information.
