DescriptionThe Senior Buyer is responsible for managing procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves maintaining supplier relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures. You will be working on-site to oversee the purchasing and be directly responsible for the management of company assets. You will source from global company entities and worldwide suppliers and carry out strategic initiatives and tactical executions using an end-to-end approach to achieve company goals and support roadmaps.The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
A day in the life and how you'll make an impact:- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify, qualify, and develop suppliers that optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.
- Manage end-to-end procurement and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes for both direct and indirect spend categories.
- Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) to maximize commercial value.
- Oversee supplier performance management, including KPI tracking, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure material and product availability to support manufacturing, operations, new product introductions, and business growth.
- Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, ensuring timely processing, delivery tracking, and compliance with procurement policies.
- Drive cost reduction, supplier optimization, and value improvement programs while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Finance, R&D, NPI, and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve procurement policies, processes, controls, and best practices across the organization.
- Own procurement KPIs, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), cost savings, supplier performance, inventory management, and procurement compliance.
Requirements- 8+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems (NetSuite experience strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with workflow/project management tools.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative, own tasks and be flexible regarding changing priorities.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes.

Compensation:UVeye provides salary ranges that comply with the New Jersey State Law on salary transparency in job advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, location, education, and operational needs. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentives or other forms of compensation or benefits. The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000 - 120,000.
