  • Collaborate with engineering on new product introductions and work with finance on inventory management.

Full Job Description
The SeniorBuyer is responsible for strategic and tactical procurement, inventory control, and supplier management for the assigned suppliers. This role will help plan and execute DMS (Danaher Materials System) strategies at Gemba, with purchasing responsibilities that allow the business to meet on-time delivery performance, reduce past due, and optimize inventory. The Senior Buyer will also assist in mentoring, training, and developing other team members. This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Operations department and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The work schedule is typically Monday thru Friday.

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key aerospace suppliers. Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, cost). Lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Ensure timely purchase order placement and follow-through. Manage shortages, expedite critical materials, and mitigate supply risks
  • Ensure suppliers comply with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR where applicable). Participate in audits and drive supplier quality improvements
  • Partner with engineering on new product introductions (NPI) and supplier qualification. Work closely with finance on cost management and inventory targets


Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Management with five (5) years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing OR a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) plus seven (7) years of experience.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management experience
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance (ITAR/EAR preferred)


Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
  • Must be able to work at the computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • Frequently sitting, twisting, and bending.
  • Be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to travel - with approximately 10% domestic travel.


It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Electronic sourcing tools for RFI, RFQ, Reverse Auction
  • Global sourcing developing supplier relationships and driving the implementation of optimal purchasing patterns.
  • Certifications: (i.e. IOM, CIPS, APP, CPM, CPIM)
