Full Job Description
The Manufacturing Supply Chain team is looking for a Buyer who will work with local and international teams to scrutinize processes and systems and look for ways to increase efficiency in the Procurement area , the individual will act as Canada Manufacturing Buyer for several sites across Canada for both direct and indirect goods.

Role Responsibilities

  • Issues requests for quotations, review and negotiate prices with suppliers.
  • Administrates monthly and annual budget of its supplier base striving always for saving opportunities and budget efficiencies.
  • Prepares and issues Purchase Orders (SAP); expedite orders, and communicate delivery status to requestors.
  • Manages and sources various products and commodities with responsibility for developing and issuing requests for proposal, supplier selection recommendations, and developing supplier partnerships for Canadian OU's.
  • Execute timely material releases for production requirements
  • Forecasting and planning of required materials for plant production
  • Contributes to the development of purchasing strategies
  • Coordination of material complaints/vendor claims with Quality Assurance
  • Identification of cost savings opportunities in an ongoing basis ; contributes to the Department and Corporate cost savings objectives.
  • Actively participates in Continuance Improvement projects.
  • Data entry and completion of required customs ,excise documents, and billing.
  • Maintain a customer-focus while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Coordinate and reviews purchase orders and enclosed documents from Canada SGS Sites Network, confirming inventory is sufficient to meet customers' requests.
  • Reconcile shipped and returned inventory.
  • Create and schedule deliveries pick slips for shipping department in SAP.
  • Schedule and track incoming dry goods, coordinate with carriers and suppliers to ensure on-time in full delivery and supply for operations
  • Work with North American Supply Functions to secure lowest cost/best service freight and ensure invoicing accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and distribute shipping and customs documentations (CCI's) - Trace, reconcile and report discrepancies for Canada SGS Sites Network.
  • Facilitate all Freight claims with transportation companies.
  • Coordinates transportation lines, and 3r party services as needed.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Suntory Global Spirits.
  • Complicance with standard operation procedures, legal and other requirements including health and safety, fire protection, environmental, quality, security and continuous improvement programs
  • Performs warehouse inventory counts for material reconciliations
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

Works most closely with Supply Chain Sr. Manager, Global Procurement and Material Planning Supply Chain local and international Peers, Co-Manufacturing Contacts, and other Global SGS structures.

Qualifications

  • Post - Secondary education; with a minimum of 8 years continues Procurement / Supply Chain Multisite experience.
  • Supply Chain/PMAC certification an asset
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Perform well in a dynamic change environment and manage conflicting priorities while multi-tasking.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to clearly present findings, and improvement ideas.
  • Demonstrate the skill and ability to perform complex tasks.
  • Excellent follow through on projects and issues for Canada SGS Sites Network.
  • Highly detailed oriented and possess excellent problem resolution skills.
  • Required frequently: standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching.
  • Advanced SAP ESP, Procurement, Material Planning and Supply Environments.
  • Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau and Salesforce advanced proficiency as well as Project Management experience.
  • Ability to work within a diverse, global workforce oriented around customer satisfaction and process delivery.
  • Ability to work under pressure, and comfortable with hectic environment
  • Ability to self-learn and troublshoot.
  • High Tolerance to frustration and multitask.
  • Role will require that PPE be worn when on plant site.
