What you'll do:

In this role, you'll be responsible for analyzing portfolio loans through various lenses, creating tools for efficient and effective portfolio management, and solving for complex business-line needs. You'll work with underwriting and portfolio management team leads, as well as credit administration on initiatives that identify credit risk. You'll need to meet the short and long-term goals of the business line and maximize transparency of the Resort Finance portfolio health. The Senior Portfolio Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
  • Work closely with the Resort Finance Team Leads & credit, explore the needs of the group and advise on process implementation and actionable solutions for portfolio-wide insights.  Analyze portfolio concentrations through the lens of asset classes, relationships, project assets, geographic exposure, construction vs. C&I, and outlook of the portfolio and pipeline.  Demonstrate strong organizational skills, coordinating with external groups within the Bank as a subject matter expert on product offerings within the Resort Finance business line.
  • Handle various portfolio management upkeep tasks and responsibilities related to data quality of loans, projects, deposits, and ratios.  Demonstrate strong understanding asset classes for monitoring KRIs and KPIs.  Gather, analyze, and concisely summarize findings of at-risk assets in a presenting format to credit risk partners of the Bank in quarterly portfolio review (QPR) meetings.
  • Manages portfolio analysis initiatives related to: quarterly portfolio review of key asset classes, weekly forecasting and variance analysis, asset class tracking through data collection and consolidation that meets bank policy and portfolio management standards, solutions for data access to streamline credit actions within the Resort Finance group, maintenance of key reporting tools and data steward responsibilities as defined by the Bank, visualization tools that effectively communicate consolidated portfolio health, geographical mapping of all Resort Finance projects assets, updated quarterly for newly underwritten loans.
  • Ad-hoc duties with underwriting team and portfolio management team related to:  access to BI software and tracking tools, coordinate data collection efforts through borrower relationships established via lenders and portfolio management team, support of covenant compliance monitoring, portfolio reporting, and credit-related analysis activities, assist with credit memoranda, financial analysis, and written credit assessments supporting portfolio review and credit decision-making processes, identify and communicate emerging credit risks within existing lending relationships, assist with portfolio management and loan administration activities, partner with other groups within the Bank to roll-out new credit monitoring tools and initiatives, identifying and meeting other subject-matter experts in the Bank to collaborate on solving for business needs. 

What you'll need:

  • 4+ years of related experience in CRE or asset-based Portfolio Management or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate experience, knowledge, and training in financial statement analysis.  Strong portfolio management skills allowing for timely identification of credit concerns by bringing items of concern to the Primary PM, Team Lead, or Managing Director's attention.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
