JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Business Process Engineer supports and leads initiatives that focus on optimizing administrative business processes through leveraging traditional CI tools and facilitating cross functional projects. Initiatives will have a heavy emphasis on ERP integration, and business process tool development/standardization, and standardizing data used across all business processes. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and driving comprehensive processes and tool improvements that support the organization's long-term strategy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Lead Complex Business Process Improvement Initiatives
- Drive high-impact, cross-functional process improvement and transformation projects aligned with organizational goals and strategic priorities
- Analyze End-to-End Business Processes
- Conduct comprehensive deep-dive assessments of business processes to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities for optimization or automation
- Develop Scalable and Sustainable Solutions
- Develop innovative, scalable process designs that enhance performance, reduce operational costs, and support long-term business growth
- Establish and integrate standard tools that support efficient execution of business processes
- Engage Senior Stakeholders and Influence Strategy
- Collaborate with leadership, department heads, and business unit leaders to align process improvements with strategic objectives and drive change adoption
- Develop and Maintain Process Documentation
- Support the creation and maintenance of high-quality process documentation, including workflows, procedures, and organizational roles/responsibilities
- Support High Performance Business Metrics
- Support development and alignment of business KPI's that support cross functional engagement and overall long-term goal achievement
- Develop and implement KIP tracking tools utilizing standardized process output data
- Support implementation and Integration of software/system Solutions
- Collaborate with IT and department stakeholders to facilitate cross functional implementation of technology solutions (e.g. ERP enhancements) that support process automation and efficiency
- Support driving a Culture of Continuous Improvement
- Promote Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies across the organization
- Lead training sessions and workshops
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: - Strong demonstrated technical skills around process improvement methods/tools, ERP systems, and digital business tool development.
- Proven experience facilitating continuous improvement initiatives across complex organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of ERP systems, and integration within complex organizations/business processes.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive a quality-focused culture.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated experience leading initiatives without formal reporting authority.
- A passion for quality excellence and a commitment to achieving and maintaining the highest standards.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Able to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals.
- Ability to read a tape measure within 1/16".
- Must have basic reading and writing skills in the English language.
- Advanced data entry, highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word, Visio) skills including how to print documents.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
- Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma certifications) are a plus.
- 10+ years of related experience.
- 5+ years of continuous improvement experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is pleasant, temperature controlled, professional office environment in a manufacturing setting. The employee works in an office-setting but does have frequent interaction with the shop floor. On the shop floor, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather.
