Job Details

The Senior Business Manager provides high level financial support and reporting for large Academic and/or Medical Group departments. Responsible for the oversight of investments, programs and special projects to ensure target achievement.

Summary
The Senior Business Manager provides high level financial support and reporting for large Academic and/or Medical Group departments. Responsible for the oversight of investments, programs and special projects to ensure target achievement.

Job Duties

  • Integrate and monitor financial and operational reporting across the department
  • Collaborate with finance administration to continuously monitor, adjust, and report on departmental performance
  • Support proforma and business plan development and monitoring
  • Work with operational leaders to elevate financial acumen and the impact of operations on departmental sustainability
  • Analyze trends and proactively communicate opportunities or impacts that will effect overall department performance
  • Develop budgets using dynamic inputs acknowledging the upstream and downstream impact of professional activity and hospital based activity
  • Support the finance functions of the department, including the development and mentorship of financial analyst staff
  • Review Year-End Financial statements and reports and prepare all departmental closing journal entries for Controller's Office.
  • Prepare month end and year-end closing entries with departments and Controller
  • Coordinate departmental Fiscal Year-End closing activities
  • Ad Hoc finance reporting


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or other related field
  • 5 years of progressive Financial experience - Health experience preferred

    Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
