Job Description:

As the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (ADSD) you will serve as a key business insights and governance leader, responsible for the development, maintenance, and strategic evolution of global dashboards, performance metrics, insights and reporting tools within the Americas Distribution Services Division (ADSD) Center of Excellence (COE) team.

What You Will Do:

  • Own and manage ADSD dashboards and reporting tools including Dealer Profile, Must Wins, and DSD dashboards.
  • Align with and support other DSD’s on governance of global reporting tools such as Global Dealer Scorecard, and DSD dashboards.
  • Design, build and enhance dashboards, reporting tools, and AI agents to support leadership reporting and operational decision-making.
  • Serve as a data owner for key ADSD performance metrics, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Support various leadership levels within ADSD including Distribution Directors, Vice Presidents of Distribution, and other business leaders to align on metric definitions and reporting standards.
  • Lead metric rollouts, updates, and calibration processes across enterprise reporting platforms.
  • Support COE teams and ADSD field teams (MSOR’s, PSOR’s, DDR’s, etc.) with insights requests.
  • Perform additional duties assigned to support evolving business needs.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Business Assessment: Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.
  • Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
  • Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications.
  • Product Design & Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
  • Research Analysis: Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.

What You Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant professional work experience may be considered in lieu of formal degree.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, Alteryx, or similar).
  • Experience with AI tools (e.g., Sidekick, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Github Copilot).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, SQL, or analytics workflows.
  • Experience with enterprise data systems and dashboard reporting environments.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
