Join our Publisher Monetization Device Advertising team and help shape the future of advertising across Amazon's expansive network. As a Senior Tech Business Developer on our Publisher Monetization Device Advertising team, you'll lead the launch and expansion of key advertising initiatives across new customer segments and markets. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring innovative advertising solutions to life, shaping go-to-market strategies, scaling existing channels, and delivering measurable revenue impact for Amazon Devices.

This role requires approximately 15% travel, primarily to meet with key partners and sales teams to align on strategic goals and drive adoption.

Key job responsibilities

Create and execute business plans focused on demand generation, adoption, and revenue growth.

Define business goals based on market segmentation and customer insights

Identify and implement innovative strategies to scale the device display advertising business

Design effective sales motions to achieve adoption goals and accelerate customer acquisition and retention

Work with sales, marketing, product, program, and engineering teams to address customer needs, achieve revenue targets, and refine products based on market feedback

Meet with key partners and sales teams to align on strategic goals, secure buy-in, and drive adoption

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with strategic objectives

Prepare and present monthly business reviews on roadmap updates, strategic inputs, output metrics, adoption goals, and financial performance

A day in the life

As a Business Development Manager on our team, you'll focus on scaling our device display advertising business through strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration. Your day might include meeting with sales teams to align on adoption goals, analyzing market data to identify growth opportunities, or working with product and engineering partners to understand how new capabilities can address customer needs. You'll prepare business reviews that showcase roadmap progress and financial performance, while also building relationships with key partners and senior leadership. Your work spans multiple initiatives-from launching new ad capabilities to expanding into emerging markets-all while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and strategic alignment across teams.

About the team

We're the Amazon Publisher Monetization Device Advertising team, building and delivering demand products that empower advertisers to buy media across Amazon's network of publishers and devices. As our business evolves, we're introducing new ad capabilities, inventory supply, and measurement technologies that span multiple teams within Amazon.

You'll join a dynamic, cross-functional team that combines product, engineering, sales, and finance to solve complex advertising challenges. We're committed to scaling innovative solutions and driving measurable impact for advertisers and publishers alike. Whether you're introducing new capabilities or expanding into emerging markets, you'll collaborate with teams across Amazon to deliver results.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree

- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

- 5+ years of professional or military experience

- 5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience

- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

- Experience developing, leading, negotiating and executing corporate and/or business transactions

- Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders

- Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences

- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources, or related field, or PMP certificate

- Knowledge of publisher ad tech stacks and/or advertising technology

- Knowledge of the AdTech industry (e.g., Ad Servers, SSPs, DSPs)

- Experience leading complex, multi-year initiatives that may be cross-functional and/or span business and technology

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
